Payment for vocal assessments, private lessons, courses, workshops and other events is due in advance.Payments can be made via a PayPal - simply click the button below. If you are a MAC student, please use that portal for payments.
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Once you have booked your session, you are responsible for showing up at the correct place and time. You must notify me of cancellations at least one day (24 hours) in advance before the scheduled lesson or assessment in order to avoid the fee for the missed session.
If you do not show up for your assessment or lesson or if you have to cancel on the same day - even for illness or a scheduling error - you will be charged for the time slot. In this industry, "the show must go on" so rarely would an artist take a night off for a minor illness as everyone else still has to be paid out of your pocket if you do. There is always something we can work on even if we do not use your voice.
Withdrawals from package lessons, classes, or workshops needing advance registration require a 30-day notice. No refunds will be given for any single session missed after the first day of the event.
If there is inclement weather and you feel you cannot safely attend your lesson or school is cancelled, please let us know immediately so that we can keep your regular lesson time via Zoom and not miss a beat.
I will know you are a serious student if you schedule regular lessons and make being prepared for them a priority.
In general, I do not recommend every-other-week lessons for anyone starting work on their skills and do not recommend them at all for teenage and younger students.
Preparing for auditions, college, competitions, professional work? To be successful in this field, you must study your craft by taking not only voice/acting lessons and coaching, but also dance, piano, music theory, etc., as appropriate. It takes a minimum 4-6 weeks for professionals to make changes in their technique and 3-6 months for others. Plan accordingly.
For the fastest results, do only the voice exercises you are given and refrain singing anything else until you get the green light.
While you are studying, do not perform in shows constantly as your progression will be slowed.
Bring a pencil to every session.
Have printed music for every session.
With advance notice, attend other students' lessons to learn even more.
Video your lessons - you’d be surprised how much you learn by watching yourself!
