Spring Session 2018
Acting for Singers - This class will be covering character development through song and scenes. This is a class that can be repeated to continue insight and skill-building. Please bring one song or monologue to the class and a way to connect to the internet for research if needed. March 17, 2018. 12:30-2:30 PM. Musical Arts Center Location Only. Registration closes March 12.
Winter Session 2017
Audition Workshop - This class will focus on building a musical theatre audition package: putting together a resume, how to “work” the audition, short monologue preparation, cold-readings, working with an accompanist, and acting a song. Participants should have some music theatre experience prior to taking this class. This is a class that can be repeated to continue skill-building. January 13, 2018. 1:00 PM. (Re-) Beginners Voice Class - Have you always wanted to sing, but never quite knew where (or how) to start? Did you previously sing in school, but now your voice is a tad rusty? This class is for teen and adult students who do not necessarily have any music reading skills or singing background but want to learn the basics of technique and production. Typical voice class participants are beginning singers, who need an introductory overview of singing, including basic vocal anatomy and physiology, terminology, vocal technique, repertoire and performance skills. Class will be cancelled if minimum enrollment not met.
6 weeks - Thursdays, June 1- July 13, 7 - 8 PM, No class July 6. $150
Acting for Singers - This class will be covering character development through song, scripted scenes and monologues. All aspects of character development will be considered: age, status, motivations, emotions, mannerisms, speech considerations, etc. This is a class that can be repeated to continue skill-building. Class will be cancelled if minimum enrollment not met.

Summer Sight-Singing - Are your weak music-reading skills holding you back? Come and learn the basic building blocks of sight- reading vocal music. Through the use of solfege, this class teaches you how to read the music you'd like to sing. This class is an overview of our quarter long Music Theory courses offered during the year. Class will be cancelled if minimum enrollment not met.

Singing for Seniors - The art and science of singing for aging voices. Classes include exercises especially designed for mature voices to develop technique, expand range, build power and control in a variety of styles. $100/8 weeks. All skill levels welcome. Fee includes music. April 5 - May 31, 1-2 PM, weekly. No class April 19. Zion Lutheran Church.
