Tip of the day: The dry winter weather is hard on the vocal folds. Enjoy steam inhalation for 10-15 minutes, 2-3 times a day. This is called external hydration. You will find that it is much easier to phonate afterwards. (And your pores will thank you too.) It is an excellent idea to do this before singing or giving a talk. There is no need to add any essential oils. It will do NOTHING. Also, consider investing in a good quality humidifier for the house to be used from the month of October to May.
